Oliver North believes all manner of people are called heroes who do not warrant the title.

"The athlete who just set a new sports record is not a hero. The adventurer to be the first solo climber to scale Mount Everest is not a hero," North said in a speech Friday at the USS Indianapolis Reunion in the Westin Hotel in Downtown Indianapolis.
