Hurrle Orthopaedic Acquired by HealthSouth

HealthSouth acquires 7 Indiana outpatient facilities
HealthSouth Corp. has acquired the assets of a seven-facility outpatient physical therapy operation, absorbing its 35 employees.

The deal gives Birmingham-based HealthSouth (OTC Pink Sheets: HLSH) ownership of Indiana-based Hurrle Orthopaedic Physical Therapy P.C.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the deal boosts HealthSouth's presence in Indiana from three to 10 facilities. HealthSouth spokeswoman Kristi Gilmore says, prior to the Hurrle deal, HealthSouth operated only two inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and one outpatient facility in that state. Continue here ...
